“Mentor to the Rich of Heart” Everyday Giving Founder Roger Carr will Present Keynote at Skool ’08

Roger Carr, known as the "Mentor to the Rich of Heart," founder and owner of Everyday Giving, will be attending FRMC Charlie's Chaplains' Skool '08 in September, and is the featured keynote speaker for our day-long intensive training session.

Through his writing and speaking on the subject of making a difference, his goal is to educate and inspire others. Roger is the author of the ebook "Wake Up and Make a Difference" and a co-author of the book "101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life." He is an adviser to nonprofits regarding the establishment of an effective online presence and online marketing campaign. Roger also serves as a board member and volunteer with the Arthritis Foundation, Virginia Chapter.

FRMC Charlie's Chaplains coordinator Becky Cortino and Roger first became acquainted through AHeart4Clowning TalkRadio Show, a program Becky hosts to encourage and inspire hospital/caring clowns and creative arts performers. Roger became interested in exploring the art of clowning and thought coming to Clown Skool '08 would be a great way to begin his journey.

Charlie's Chaplains are looking forward to having Roger Carr at Skool, with much inspiration to share!

Establishing a Hospital Clown or Creative Ministry Book

Final touches are being added to the textbook to be used for FRMC Charlie’s Chaplains’ first-ever Pre-Skool session on “How to Establish a Hospital Clown or Creative Ministry” to be held on Friday, September 28th in Hickory, NC.

"What a blessing and a privilege to have been able to write this guide," said FRMC Charlie's Chaplains' coordinator Becky Cortino. She shared, "My heart compelled me to write it, especially as I had met so many who want to do the important work we get to do every month at FRMC since 1991."

The newly-completed book written by Ms. Cortino will be used at the special Pre-Skool session held on Friday, September 28 at Frye Regional Medical Center 's Charlie's Chaplains' Skool '07. "We are all very excited about this Skool because we have folks who are coming from out of state and out-of-the-area for the special first-ever ministry weekend," Becky said.

This Pre-Skool evening program grew out of the heartfelt mission to encourage others who also want to serve in this significant way. "It is our hope and prayer to encourage and inspire more healthcare-centered ministries! It is a real thrill to know this guide is available for those who want to serve in a significant way, some having had years of training but no hospital program," Cortino stated.
